NEW Book and DVD

Capt. Dave Anderson's award winning book, 'Lily, A Gray Whale’s Odyssey' is about a gray whale that Capt. Dave helped to disentangle and is a scientifically accurate tale with a twist. Visit to preview and purchase.

The author of 'Lily‘, Captain Dave Anderson, also spent five years producing, filming and narrating this award-winning 64-minute film while conducting his Dolphin and Whale Safari expeditions from Dana Point, California.

Half of the profits from the book and film are given to charities to help whales, dolphins, and people in need, such as Kids Around the World.

Mission Statement

To be a good Caretaker one has to care enough to do something to help. We must make good choices that help dolphins and whales and people in need.
Our main focus as a group at this time is to raise awareness of what we feel is the single biggest threat facing dolphins and whales: entanglement in fishing gear. And to help feed some of the most desperately hungry people on earth, which we currently believe are in Africa and Haiti.

Lily's Story

On May 10, 2010, Lily, an emaciated, young gray whale entered a Southern California harbor entangled in a fishing net.
